Buoy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill
Buoy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill: 677 75th Ave, Saint Pete Beach, FL 33706
Brunch is one of South Florida Eats’ favorite meals of the day. Mike and I went searching around St. Pete and came across Buoy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill. The restaurant is located right on one of the inlets from the ocean. A perfect view adorns your form out on the patio or down on the lower deck. Parking is available in their lot or on the street.
Fair warning: it can get busy, so plan ahead. There are a few other restaurants on the same street, so if this one is full, you can always try one of the other spots to satisfy your cravings.
The Restaurant:
Buoy’s is nothing fancy. Tables and chairs adorn both the upper deck/patio area and the lower deck. There is also an inside area for those who prefer to eat in the comfort of air conditioning, which also houses a bar. But with such amazing views of the water and the perfect weather of Florida, why not enjoy being outdoors? The lower deck is protected from much of the sun, but you can still feel the ocean breezes of coastal living flow through your hair.
Buoy’s Food:
There are so many tasty brunch items on the menu at Buoy’s that it can be hard to decide. I went with a traditional ham and cheddar omelet, served with home fries and onions and white toast with butter. I like my omelets a bit more well done so that nothing runs, and Buoy’s hit it out of the park.
Mike tried their eggs over medium and corned beef hash, served with home fries and wheat toast. The hash was very good and freshly made. We both love corned beef hash but are not fans of how most restaurants just open a can and plop it on the griddle. That’s why we normally order it well done: it has a flavor and is crisp enough. But this was one of the best we have tried. His eggs were cooked perfectly, and Mike said he loved his breakfast.
We will be back to try some of their other lunch and dinner menu items. This is one of those fun places to hang out and take in the views while having a great meal. South Florida Eats recommends giving it a try, and let us know what you think in the comments.
