BurgerFi
BurgerFi: 2477 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 (there are many other locations, but this is the one I usually go to)
BurgerFi started in 2011 with one location in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. A couple of chefs got together to create a new idea and take on the old burger joint. With over 120 franchised and corporate-owned restaurants, they are one of the fastest-growing burger chains.
BurgerFi is known for using 100% natural Angus beef with no steroids, antibiotics, growth hormones, chemicals, or additives. They have also won quite a few awards for their food over the last several years.
The Menu:
The BurgerFi menu offers a diverse mix with broad appeal. Of course, there are the popular burgers and fresh-cut fries, but you also have Waygu beef hot dogs, chicken tenders and sandwiches, onion rings, frozen custard desserts, shakes, concretes, and even a VegeFi burger. Many locations also serve beer and wine.
And when it comes to sauces, you will be hard-pressed not to find one you like. There are eleven different ones to choose from, like Fi Sauce (my personal favorite), ghost pepper honey, garlic aioli, truffle aioli, bacon jalapeno ranch, honey mustard bbq, and cheese sauce, chili, Memphis sweet bbq, spicy mayo, and ranch.
BurgerFi Food:
I’ve tried a few different things from BurgerFi in my various visits. I’ll start in reverse this time. While their frozen custard is good, I prefer the concretes the most. The concrete is a heavier version of their custard that really is nice and filling. And my favorite one is the Oreo Cookies and Cream.
I usually get the “Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger” as my main go-to. It’s double patties made of natural Angus beef, double American cheese, and double bacon. I always ask for the bacon to be crisp; otherwise, it might not be cooked all the way through to my liking. Almost all of the burgers are served with double patties except for the “breakfast all day” burger that is served with one patty and a hashbrown and the veggie burgers. You can also customize any of their burgers to your liking.
There are two breaded chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders for the chicken lovers. The chicken tenders are usually delicious, although they can be overcooked at times. I wish there were a grilled chicken option, but they only have fried. BurgerFi also offers a selection of hot dogs to choose from, with the “Texas Style” being my favorite.
The Sides:
For your side items, you can choose from fresh-cut fries, which are perfectly salted and one of the best french fries in my opinion of a fast-casual dining restaurant. There are also beer-battered onion rings, or you can choose the “cry-fry” combination of the fries and onion rings. Either way, you can’t go wrong with either choice, and since I like them both, I usually end up getting the “cry-fry.”
