Renaissance Hotel Plano: 6007 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX 75024

The Hotel:

I had the pleasure of staying in the Renaissance Hotel Plano, TX, for a few days. The hotel is perfectly situated in a section of Plano known as Legacy Place. There is a good mix of restaurants and shops for you to explore. If you can’t find something to eat here, then you just are not trying hard enough.

The Food:

For breakfast, my colleagues and I chose to try some of the cuisines at the hotel. Now, as you might already know, most hotels are outrageous prices when it comes to breakfast. And the Renaissance Hotel Plano is no different. I always order at least once a side of crisp bacon. And this was some of the best bacon I have had in a long time. As a matter of fact, I could have eaten three or four plates of it.

The first item we tried was the ham and cheese omelet. It was fluffy and cooked the way I liked it. The cheddar cheese added flavor. It is served with a side of potatoes, mixed between regular and sweet. I would have preferred them done a little more, but they were flavorful and mixed with onions.

The next dish I tried on the second day was scrambled eggs mixed with cheddar cheese, ham steak, and roasted potatoes. The eggs were very good, although a bit dry. The ham steak was a little smaller than I had anticipated and not as thick as I had hoped. The grill marks were merely there to give the impression it had been on the grill for a few seconds. The potatoes were the same as the ones from the previous day.

Pricing $$$:  If you are traveling in the Plano area, then the Renaissance Hotel Plano is the perfect place to lay your head and grab a simple bite to eat.
