Season’s 52
Season’s 52: 2428 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
We decided it had been years since we last were at Season’s 52, and it was our anniversary, so why not. This is a small chain of restaurants which are more of a casual dining experience. There is always a very nice crowd and mix of people that eat here. It’s located at the Galleria Mall in Ft. Lauderdale. You can either park in the mall parking or valet if you are so inclined. The nice thing is you can go shopping either before or after if the mood hits you, and for me I am always up for shopping. There is a nice sized bar area which you can sit at and have your dinner; or you can sit at one of the many tables or booths that are located in the main dining room. One word of caution, you may need the flashlight function on your phone in order to read the menu as they keep the lights very low. The staff is always friendly and very efficient. They work in a team style, so the person that takes your order will not be the one delivering it to you.
One thing we like about this restaurant is that they change their menus wit the seasons. Jerry had lamb chops with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. You get 6 chops that were perfectly pink with a nice seasoning to them. They were very tender and full of flavor the way he likes them. The presentation was beautiful and he ate everything on his plate. I had the Filet Mignon, topped with sauteed mushrooms and sat atop mashed potatoes. . This was accompanied by sugar snap peas and heirloom tomatoes. Just like the lamb chops, this dish was also full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I am very fussy when it comes to filet, so the fact that this was done right made me very happy.
Two small desserts were the perfect ending to the evening. That is the perfect thing about Season’s 52 is that you don’t have to feel guilty by the size of their desserts. That is unless you eat all of them. Jerry had the Key Lime Pie which has a toasted meringue on top. I had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte since I love my peanut butter. Both had very good flavor and texture. And the best part was not feeling guilty afterwards.
