Suviche is a Peruvian restaurant that opened about a year ago off of Las Olas Blvd. in the financial district. The food here is very good and we enjoyed a delicious lunch. There is a nice bar that has outdoor seating and an open window for those that like to people watch. Inside are tables and chairs, but you also can sit in the patio style couches and chairs outside. If you are like me, you can sit at the large bar they have both inside and out. The owners and management are always visible, and the wait staff is very friendly and courteous. They have a great selection of Peruvian favorites and the menu has a very good variety. They are open for lunch and dinner in the financial district on Las Olas.
The Pollo Saltado was one of the best I have ever had. The right amount of ginger in the sauce made the chicken especially flavorful. The peppers and onions give you a nice offset in flavors. I love the white rice that is provided and helps to soak up the sauce and the steak fries that they use with it. The Ceviche was a nice white fish in a cream sauce. Garnished with Corn, Onions and roasted corn kernels. Oh and did we mention you get a little bowl of roasted corn kernels as something to snack on while waiting for your food. The bar is full service and even has some of their own specialties. My iced tea was served in a mason jar as a glass which I thought was kind of cool. They have a full bar here as well for those that might like to indulge a bit. There is always a lot of fun people to watch here and great food to enjoy.
