Country Ham N’ Eggs Bar & Grill
Country Ham N’ Eggs Bar & Grill: 2671 E Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306
One Sunday morning, we happened to be eating across the street at one of our favorite diners, when I noticed across the street was a place I had not been to before. I originally thought it had just opened. However when we stopped by Country Ham N’ Eggs to check it out the next weekend, I was amazed to find out that it had opened back in 2015 at this location, but have been around since 2005. They originally had a location in Lauderdale by the Sea, and moved it to their new location On Oakland Park Blvd. near the Coral Ridge Mall. You can easily miss the place if you are not paying attention. They are located on the North side of the street as you are heading east on Oakland Park Blvd. We found parking in front can be a little tricky, but there is also parking in the back I am told. This place is a family affair, and you will see them checking in on customers throughout the restaurant. This place is open for breakfast and lunch all day long.
You can fill up with generous portions of the most scrumptious home-style breakfast and lunch entrees around. From traditional morning meals like country ham and eggs to mouthwatering specialty dishes like our pork roll, you always get the best of classic American cuisine. They have a full bar which is very unique to a breakfast and lunch restaurant. Seating capacity is 165 people and they can accommodate large parties! The menu has all your traditional breakfast items on it, plus for lunch they have salads, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps.
We opted for breakfast. Both of us had the corned beef hash with two eggs. We love our hash well done, and they cooked it perfectly. Our eggs were scrambled with cheese added for a little flavor. My one complaint, and one that I have with many restaurants, that the cheese is just laid on top of the eggs. Something that disappointed me was that they did not mix in the cheese while the eggs are being scrambled. As our side dish, we had sliced tomatoes instead of the normal potatoes or grits which were fresh and juicy which is a good sign of a restaurant that takes pride in what they serve. Jerry had a bagel with cream cheese, and I opted for the white toast with butter. The person sitting next to us had a wonderful looking Bloody Mary which she said was delicious. Being their first time at Country Eggs N’ Ham they said their meal was just as good as ours was.
