Tucker Duke’s
Tucker Duke’s: 1658 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432
The Restaurant:
The South Florida Eats team wanted to try something new for lunch. Two colleagues from work and myself decided to check out Tucker Duke’s in Boca Raton for lunch. Besides the Boca location, there is another location in Deerfield Beach.
This location is is in a small shopping center off of Federal Highway and 5th Ave. Be careful though as you can miss it since the signage is a bit hidden. Parking is sometimes an issue at this location, so just be aware of that before you head out during the busy times of the day. The menu is is a mix of snacks, burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls and blue plates.
The South Florida Eats team went around 1pm during the week for lunch and there were a few tables besides us, but it was not over crowded like we thought it might be. Our waitress was fun and upbeat providing recommendations to us since we had not been there before. Service was fast and on point which made the whole experience very pleasant.
The Food:
We debated on getting their signature burger which is called the “Tucker Duke Burger”. However they will not change anything on that burger for anyone. Jairo decided instead to go for the Marmaduke for his burger. This was the 2017 Sobewff burger bash winner with brie, stone fruit and bacon chutney, smoked mayo, arugula. Jairo went with a medium-well burger. The mix of flavors made for a nice and juicy burger that you definitely needs two hands to eat, or at least cut it in half.
Ricardo chose the El Pedro cooked medium, served with jalapeno cream cheese, chipotle aioli, grilled onion, spring mix, and tomato. He added some sriracha sauce to it for a little more spice. The flavor was good and the burger was nice and juicy. Flavor was abound in every bite and you could tell that Ricardo was really enjoying his burger.
I decided to try Tucker Duke’s 3 mini burgers called Camilla. Well-done was the choice for me for my 3 mini burgers served with cheddar, American, crispy onions, housemade ketchup, tucker sauce, and pickle. It normally comes with tomato as well, but I opted to not get it on mine. The burgers are just the right size to hold in your hand, and the tucker sauce added an extra bit of flavor. It’s kind of like the sauce on a Big Mac.
For our side items we tried both the “salt and pepper fries” and the “sweet potato waffle fries”. Both were very good, but you definitely want the sauce that they serve with the sweet potato fries no matter which kind you get.
Pricing: $$-$$$ all depending on appetizers, sides, burgers, etc.. that you order. Tucker Duke’s is a bit expensive, but we would recommend you at least check it out once.
