Our group ended up going here before a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game to watch the World Cup soccer games and then again afterward for dinner. So, let’s dive into what this restaurant has to offer a bit more.
The Restaurant:
You will first notice the outdoor bar area as you approach Yeoman’s. You might be fooled initially thinking that this is the only bar, that is, until you walk past towards the front entrance. Once inside, there is a large bar area to the left and an entrance to the outside bar. The main section of Yeoman’s is an open table concept with a few booths and plenty of seating.
Off to your right is the entrance to a much larger section used for private parties or popular times. Games like Top Swing Golf, a soccer kick, and a football throw game adorn one corner, while pool and shuffleboard are along another wall. Plenty of televisions line the walls to watch all of your favorite sports. This is very much a British-style sports pub.
The Food:
Let’s start with Mark and Joe’s meals. They both ordered the fish ‘n chips, one of the most popular entrees on the menu. The freshly prepared North Atlantic Cod, Deep-Fried with Yeoman’s signature beer batter, served with chips (steak fries), American coleslaw, lemon, and tartar sauce. When their dishes arrived, we all sat in awe at the size of the fried fish. And while many might think that it was just a lot of empty breading, they will tell you the entire thing was full of cod from end to end.
I opted to go with the King’s burger, suited for a king like me. LOL Yeoman’s serves an 8 oz. Angus Burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, served on a European pretzel roll. The bacon was nice and crispy, the way I liked it. They cooked it perfectly, and the steak fries finished off the dish. I could not have been happier and was sure to tell everyone so.
Mike also had a burger, but he went with the Manchester. Yeoman’s served a blackened 8 oz Angus Burger with bleu cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and Creole mustard on a European pretzel roll. The toppings mixed perfectly with his rare burger, which they cooked to perfection for him. He chose to go with homemade potato chips instead of the fries.
All four of us were very satisfied with our meals and would highly recommend Yeoman’s for anyone looking for great pub grub.
