Wilton Wings
Wilton Wings: 1428 NE 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
Wilton Wings used to be located in the heart of Wilton Manors, thus the name, but a few years ago they moved to a new location on 4th avenue. The South Florida Eats team was in the mood for some good chicken wings, so we originally tried this place out for the first time in years by doing take-out. We liked our meal so much that we decided to go there for dinner one night and eat there.
The Restaurant:
Wilton Wings has parking on both sides of the building. Depending on the side you walk in, there will be a bar or the cashier when you walk in the door. Inside there are a few high top tables, a few short tables and several booths along the front of the restaurant. It’s never filled completely, but can be very busy at times with people eating in the restaurant and with take-out orders.
All of the staff at Wilton Wings is very friendly and takes good care of you. We have never had bad service there.
The Food:
The South Florida Eats team has actually tried a few things on the menu. We tried the chicken wings a few different ways. The first was a mild sauce, which has a very good flavor to it and just a hint of heat. The wings were tender and the sauce made them nice and juicy. Jerry also tried the butter sauce ones which is their version of no heat. The butter sauce ones are not as good and did not have any flavor. I tried the grilled ones which were very good and I added my own seasoning to it of “Old Bay”. Our last batch of wings were Parmesan seasoned which tasted very good, basically the grilled with a Parmesan rub.
On a separate trip, I chose to try their cheese-steak. I have to be honest I was actually pretty impressed with it. Although I recommend getting it without mushrooms since a real cheese-steak hoagie doesn’t have mushrooms. But it definitely is worth trying.
Pricing: $-$$ there are so many good things on the menu, you have to try them all. You should check this place out if you haven’t already.

[…] We chose to sit in one of the booths by the pizza oven as we love watching people, especially when we can see them cooking food. We decided to check this place out to find a wing place closer to home than Wilton Wings. […]
